Wraps for 4x4s and everyday cars
A wrap changes the colour, protects the paint underneath and comes off cleanly when you sell. That suits a 4×4 that might otherwise collect scratches from hedges and gateposts. Satin black, matt olive and other muted finishes are popular on Defenders, and gloss colours suit road cars.

Colour PPF and clear PPF
Paint protection film is a thick, self-healing layer against stone chips, grit and light scratches. Coloured PPF can change the look and protect the car at the same time, as on our forest green Defender. Clear PPF keeps the factory colour. Both carry a warranty of up to 8–12 years, depending on the film. See paint protection film.
Livery for Ripon businesses

A Defender or Range Rover uses far more film than a hatchback and has more trim to remove, so 4x4s are always priced individually. All prices below are from the amounts shown, +VAT, to give you a benchmark:

For a vehicle that sees hedges, gravel and gateways, the choice of film matters. Wrap film carries a 3-year warranty and PPF up to 8–12 years, depending on the film, under the manufacturer’s terms. Not every colour is available in PPF, so ask which films come in the shade you want before you decide between the two.
Time off the road
Plan for 2–10 days for a full wrap and 2–7 days for PPF. For a farm vehicle or a working van that’s a long time out of use, so book your dates early and tell us when you need it back. We can arrange an Enterprise rental for the days it’s with us.

Ripon car wrapping FAQs
Can you wrap a Defender or other 4x4?
Yes. Our projects include Defenders in satin black and matt olive green wraps, and one in forest green colour PPF, along with wide-arch kits.
Wrap or colour PPF: which is better for a working 4x4?
A wrap gives you the widest choice of colours. Colour PPF is a thicker, self-healing film, so it copes better with scuffs from hedges and gravel. We’ll go through both with your vehicle in front of us.
Will a wrap hide scratches from hedges and gateposts?
Light marks, often. Film follows the surface underneath, though, so deep scratches and dents will still show and are best repaired first.
How much does a wrap cost?
from £2,000 +VAT for a full colour change on a medium-sized car, and from £3,000 +VAT for a printed or custom wrap. 4x4s and large SUVs are quoted individually.
How much is PPF?
Full Front End from £1,200 +VAT, Track Pack from £1,500 +VAT and Full Coverage from £3,500 +VAT. Coloured PPF is from £3,500 +VAT.
How long will you need my vehicle?
Usually 2–10 days for a full wrap and 2–7 days for PPF, confirmed with your quote.
What warranty comes with the film?

Do you brand vans and pickups for Ripon businesses?

How should I wash mud off a wrapped 4x4?
Rinse the worst of it off with low pressure first, then hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo. Keep the pressure washer well back from edges and seams, and skip brush car washes.
